10 Instagram Accounts to Fuel Your Wanderlust

Globetrotters Who Inspire Us

March Madness season is here! And we know several college basketball players probably started out playing the fun game "around the world" before setting out on their dream to clinch the NCAA Championship title. We may not know much about college basketball, but we do know about traveling around the globe. So, Vacation pulled together a list of some of our favorite Instagram globetrotters who inspire us to travel. Consider adding them to your feed to fuel your wanderlust.

The Bucket List Family (@bucketlistfamily)

Vacation celebrates the Gee family’s desire to travel and create traditions that have shaped them into better people. In 2014, Garrett and Jessica sold their belongings for a 6-month travel stint to exotic locales, including Tonga, Byron Bay, Tahiti, New Zealand and Bali. Travel was and still is the ultimate learning experience for their children Dorothy, Manilla… and the newest addition to the family, Cali. Although traveling has slowed down a little (for now), they still manage to explore the sights in their own backyard… in Utah.

Travel Noire (@travelnoire)

We follow Travel Noire, an organization that selects amazing individuals from the African diaspora, from all over the globe, to share their love of culture and exploration to inspire you! It’s not uncommon to see posts that span from The Americas to the dunes of the Middle East, from Europe to Oceania and from the tip of Africa to the paddy fields of Asia. If you’re an unconventional traveler, you’ll enjoy following these diverse individuals as they experience travel through a slightly different lens.

We Are Travel Girls (@wearetravelgirls)

We’re all about empowering people to travel. So, it’s comes as no surprise that we enjoy following this group of wanderlust women who have created a community to inspire, connect and educate other female travelers. From Playa del Carmen to Morocco to Bali to Kuala Lumpur, these ladies provide helpful travel tips about not-to-be-missed experiences like stand-up paddle boarding inside Hintertuxer Glacier.

Drew Perez (@d.r.e.w.b.y)

Aside from traveling, nothing inspires us more than awe-inspiring travel photography. In his own words, “I always feel inspired to live, to create, and to appreciate all that this beautiful Earth provides us.” We enjoy watching his latest adventure, usually on the West Coast of the U.S., unfold through the lens of his camera.

Passport to Friday (@passporttofriday)

Traveling and sampling the finer things is life is the best! And we follow millennial luxury traveler Chelsea Martin as she visits amazing destinations such as Turks and Caicos; Porto, Portugal; Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada; Nayara Springs, Costa Rica; Porto, Portugal; and Monteverdi, Tuscany. From lux accommodations at beachfront properties to a 17th century castle, we are a little envious, especially of this post of Chelsea raising a glass at the Villa d’Esta in Lake Como, Italy. Stunning!

Expert Vagabond (@expertvagabond)

Matthew Karsten usually travels solo and we get to see firsthand how his adventures unfold. He inspires us to not miss out on unforgettable opportunities to experience fun activities such as sandboarding in the Sahara Desert, kayaking in Mexico, hiking in Greenland and surfing in Costa Rica. But we also enjoy seeing fun posts like this one in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. LOL!

Couple of Men (@coupleofmen)

This cute couple – Karl and Daan from Amsterdam – enjoy exploring the world together… one gay-friendly place at a time. They travel to popular LGBTQ destinations, but they also go the extra mile to explore unique places like Benidom, Spain; Velden, Austria; and Nature Park Hoher Vogelsberg. We’re curious to get the real details about their overnight stay in a cozy wine barrel.

Travel and Adventure (@travelandadventure)

Having the love to travel encompasses having a wild curiosity for new places and the ability to inspire others in the process. If you’re looking for new places to visit… you’ll add quite a few after checking out Travel and Adventure’s Instagram feed. Their collection of pics are visual escapes that grab your attention like the unique bubble accommodations at the Buubble Hotel in Hruni, Iceland.

Find Us Lost (@finduslost)

You’ve gotta admire someone who follows their passion for travel and takes a big leap of faith. That’s exactly what Selena and her husband, Jacob, did two years ago. They packed their bags, left LA and now live abroad in Amsterdam. The couple has traveled to more than 12 countries and clocked almost 4,000 miles to visit places such as Lapland, Finland; Lech, Austria; Tenerife, Canary Islands; Punta Cana, Dominican Republic; Brasov, Romania; and Gstaad, Switzerland. Selena writes and Jacob snaps photos… a formula that has catapulted the couple to success.
